A hand on someone, again — but here it's the whole body, and the scale is the message. She's raised her hands and I can't decide if it's worship or self-protection, which is exactly the smear the work lives in: enough signal to recognize a charged encounter, not enough to acquit anyone. The title pulls it out of the ambiguous and into the known — a man who assumed the access was his, and the women that assumption produces. The plural is what does the damage.
